C. & E. Fein GmbH presents Hermes Schleifmittel with a premium supplier award
For the first time in its long company history, on 18th October this year C.& E. Fein GmbH, Germany, presented selected premium suppliers with an award. In the course of the company’s 150th anniversary celebrations, Fein also presented Hermes Schleifmittel GmbH with an award for its extraordinary services.
An intensive and highly successful business relationship going back many years puts C. & E. Fein GmbH and its international operations among Hermes’ top customers worldwide. The collaboration of trust between these two companies is characterized by excellent communication and by treatment of each other as partners.
The traditional company from Hamburg has been supplying electrical tool manufacturer FEIN from Swabia with accessories in the form of flexible coated abrasives since 2001. Among other things, Hermes exclusively produces the “FEIN triangle” which this leading manufacturer uses for its high-performance MultiMaster system.
Hermes products for FEIN are finished at European Hermes sites in collaboration with charities - such as the sheltered workshops of “Lebenshilfe”, an Austrian charity. This approach makes it possible to bridge the gap between high-tech production and social inclusion.
Executive Vice President Sven Jarckow and Sales Manager for Germany Sven Henigschmidt went to FEIN's headquarters in Schwäbisch Gmünd-Bargau in person to accept this prestigious supplier award - a faithful reproduction of the first electric drill invented by FEIN in 1895 - on behalf of all Hermes employees.
“Today I have the honor of presenting an award to a supplier my field considers a premium supplier”, was how Vanja Sahin (Strategic Purchaser for C.& E. Fein GmbH) opened the ceremonial presentation. She continued by paying special tribute to Hermes’ high level of reliability and particular flexibility. “Regardless of whether order quantities are rising or falling, or whether Development suddenly needs more samples really quickly in order to test an idea or innovation, we are always able to rely on our contacts at Hermes.” She said she was especially impressed by the sound structure of the Hermes setup in Hamburg and Austria: “I feel as if I could call day or night. Whatever my question, the person I’m talking to always knows who, how, what and where. It’s fun working together like this, and we hope things will always stay that way”.
