Customer Service Representative

Hermes Abrasives, Ltd., a leading supplier of coated and bonded abrasives products has an immediate opening for a Customer Service Representative. 

Purpose:

To provide customer service support to Hermes Abrasives customer and Distributors in the USA, Mexico and Canada over phone and email.

Position held at Virginia Beach, VA location of Hermes Abrasives.

Job Duties & Requirements 

  • Spanish language is required in support of the Customers and Dedicated Sales Reps in the Mexico sales Region.
  • Daily communication with customers through various channels including email and phone support.
  • Order entry, status updates and shipping progress to customers, distributors and sales team members.
  • Digital file maintenance and upkeep to include current customer locations, contacts and product pricing files.
  • Resolve of customer inquiries, complaints and order challenges.
  • Provides support to sales personnel in pursuit of new and existing business opportunities. 

Specifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Spanish language proficiency.
  • Experience in customer service and communication roles.
  • Experience with ERP systems, SAP familiarity preferred.
  • Performs work under general supervision. Handles moderately complex issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Basic Microsoft software knowledge, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Office.

25-30 hours/week

Hermes Abrasives, Ltd., a leading supplier of coated and bonded abrasives products has an immediate opening for a Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Associate for 25-30 hours/week.   

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Create and post accounts payable vouchers
  • Create and post general ledger accounts
  • Prepare and run weekly checks
  • Investigate vendor discrepancies
  • Reconcile accounts
  • Assist Accounting Manager with assigned projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications include but not limited to: 

  • Understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Able to create accounting journal entries
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated team player
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  • Willingness to learn and easily adaptable to change
  • Account experience or an associate degree in Accounting preferred

Requirements

  • At least Bachelor degree, prefer in mechanical engineering
  • 3-5 years of sales experience, focus on automotive industry, preferably in the industrial consumption such as the abrasives, tools and machinery
  • Experience in sales of precision Bonded Abrasives is an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High ability at English language speaking and writing
  • Ability to work independently, self motivated, highly result orientated
  • Be willing to travel frequently

Production Manager (m/f/d)

Your Focus:

  • Responsibility for the production process and making continuous effort to achieve expected results
  • Management of a 30-person production team and ensuring optimal cooperation within the team
  • Responsibility for the production results in terms of quality, quantity and final results achieved by the team
  • Monitoring technological standards, e.g. determining parameters of the production process and solving technical, organizational and HR-related problems
  • Organizing, conducting and supervising implementation works resulting from the introduction of new products, technologies, machines and equipments.

Your profile:

  • Completed Master’s degree in Engineering

  • Very good knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations
