Hermes Management System

Compliance with national and international laws and regulations is a key principle of Hermes corporate policy. We consider the quality of our products, protection of the environment and energy efficiency in production and in the procurement of products and services to be core constituents of our corporate responsibility.

With this in mind, we have  installed a management system to create a systematic framework for our objectives in all corporate areas in order to satisfy the requirements of international standards ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001.

Compliance with these requirements will be audited and certified regularly in internal and external audits conducted by neutral inspection bodies.

Quality: "Outstanding".

Hermes is the first European abrasives manufacturer to be awarded certification to DIN EN ISO 9001, including its research and development work, as long ago as 1993. A group certificate was added to this award in 1996.

In 2002, the quality management was expanded to include the environmental management (incorporating occupational health and safety) to form an integrated management system which is applicable all over the world.

Controlled quality has top priority in the company, meaning that Hermes can satisfy customer requirements in every respect..

Our contribution to environmental protection.

This protection of the environment is a cornerstone of Hermes' commercial policy and a key component of our corporate responsibility. As early as the 1990s, Hermes introduced uniform standards and processes across the whole of the group in order to assure the high standard of environmental protection.

The compliance with national and international laws and regulations is one of the most important principles of Hermes' environmental policy.

Hermes was consequently the first European abrasives factory to pass examination on the basis of voluntary certification, being certified as long ago as 1995. In 2002, the system was expanded to include occupational health and safety and Hermes quality management to form an integrated management system which is applicable all over the world..

Optimal energy efficiency

[] Lögo TÜV-Nord, ISO 50001

The Hermes Energy Management System is a further important part of our corporate policy and meets all the requirements of international standard DIN EN ISO 50001. Following certification of all our German sites in 2014, now the Austrian plant in Bad St. Leonhard i. L. has been certified successfully.

Our aim is systematically to optimize the energy efficiency of our corporate processes and to reduce both energy consumption and CO2 emissions. The corresponding strategic and operational energy targets, together with the measures required, will be recorded, tracked and audited on a regular basis.

With the launch of its energy management system, Hermes is demonstrating to society, and to its customers, suppliers and employees, a clear commitment to its responsibility to protect both the environment and the climate.
